Cold Rolled Steel Sheets, commonly known as DKP sheets, are a type of steel material with low carbon content, typically ranging from 0.1% to 0.3%. These sheets are produced by cold rolling hot-rolled steel plates. The cold rolling process reduces the thickness of the steel plates while enhancing their strength and rigidity. The surface of DKP sheets is usually smooth and even, improving surface quality and providing a shiny appearance. Additionally, the surface can be coated with oil or other protective coatings to prevent rust.
Applications
DKP sheets offer a broad range of applications in various industrial and commercial sectors. Due to their suitability for deep drawing and cold forming, they are used in:

For parts requiring deep drawing, extra deep-drawable sheets are preferred. In addition to their weldability, these sheets can also be treated with chemical coatings.
In high-strength applications such as automotive parts, low-carbon and micro-alloyed steel grades that maintain weldability are used. Furthermore, for the production of enamelled kitchenware (such as ovens and pots), single or double-layer enamelable sheets are preferred. These sheets are notable for their deep drawability and ability to preserve the properties of the food they contain.
